However, renting your entire property to someone can turn out to be quite a profitable deal!

My parents rented our old apartment for years when we moved to a different neighborhood. They refused to sell the old place, so they became landlords instead. We didn’t have any debt (that I know of) but I remember our usual summer family vacation suddenly turned into 2 summer trips!

Of course, renting didn’t come without problems, there were times when we couldn’t find tenants for months, there was a time one tenant decided to move, but left a lot of damage behind, etc. But all in all, if you can put up with certain problems, becoming a landlord to make extra money is a great idea!
