I have been selling on facebook marketplace for a couple months with success, but the last 4 weeks have been a red tape nightmare. I have been asked for a photo of my license to confirm my identity 5 times so I can be paid and asked for my license and SS card photo 4 times for a 1099. Each review of these documents took many days, only to be asked for them again. My account has been frozen for weeks now while I wait for them to process.
I really liked the marketplace shipping becuse it was print the label and slip into a mailbox. What other platforms have this feature, being as my post office is remote and rarely open. p.s. I sell mainly small jewelry or crystal items, so a lot of your list doesn’t apply. Offering shipping is important for my items.

In reply to Nancy. Hi Nancy, you have a lot of great options if you don't want to meet people in person because of COVID. I think your best best is to sell in a local swip swap Facebook groups If you need help finding one, just go into Facebook and search for groups with the phrase "your city swip swap". You can collect payment via PayPal, Venmo, Zelle or even cash, and just leave your shoes on your doorstep. My family has been selling things on Swip Swap for years and it's customary to mostly leave the item by the front door and have them place cash underneath the doormat.
